The My Dinner with Andre x that one Community episode dialogue bits made me really laugh. (The whole sequence with the Crone did feel pretty heartfelt too!)
Alan’s snarky voice was really perfect for the narrator, and the whole aesthetic was so on point, please keep writing weird metatextual VNs forever!
The granny stole the show for me 💜
And I too want a sacrificial lamb plushie!
OK as someone who lives in Berlin this felt way too real HAHAHAHAHA. I was so entertained by all the relatable references and Ubahn commentary. You really can meet some mysterious people on the Ubahn at night... 🤣
This was a ton of fun! I feel like perhaps some of it might have gone completely over my head, but it was such a wild ride that I didn't care. All three of the different characters you meet were so fascinating and filled with their own unique energy that was incredibly captivating. I ended up with the Father ending and am now so curious as to what the other endings are like 🤭
The snarky back-and-forths between the narrator and the main char were a lot of fun. I always enjoy a fun narrator, particularly one with a a bit of bite. Also the contrast between the narrator's somewhat monotone, matter-of-fact voice and the things he was saying cracked me up. The vending machine part was so fun! I wasn't expecting a mini-game??? LOL I may have gotten a bit too invested in making sure I got the combo right hahaha. Also the items in the vending machine itself were hilarious!
Loved the whole presentation and the UI—you did such a great job of injected the Ubahn presence into every little nook and cranny of the game, and it was always a delight to spot new little things. And I love the art style!! The sketchy feel of the character designs worked so well with the overall vibe of the game. The whole thing just feels so well put together.
Fantastic job and a fun little nugget of a game that definitely brought a few chuckles out of me! 💕
This was a really nice game. I enjoyed taking a subway ride with mother lol. 10/10
thank you for playing!
You're welcome :)
Super interesting game! The art was gorgeous, and I was very impressed by the VA. Even the GUI felt well-thought out and planned. The little detail of the subway lines under the names was really cool. The fourth-wall breaks took me a little too much out of the story- a lot of commentary on life and art and big meanings, and I kinda wanted more out of the Mother, Maiden, and Crone, less out of the narrator. Still incredibly cool, can't believe that was all put together in a month!
thank you for playing! i can't believe it either...
Please can I have the sacrificial lamb plushie from the outdated, evil vending machine that doesn't accept cards x3
Not gonna lie, I usually don't like anything in VNs that isn't just reading, so minigames and stuff tend to annoy me, buuuuut, as soon as I saw what sort of minigame it was, I knew I'd probably like it, hehe. I'm big into my rhythm games, and while it wasn't rhythm per se, anything with having to repeat pattern sequences is up my alley, so I had fun attempting to get it first time (which I did ^-^ so give me my plushie, damn it, not an energy drink x3)
Also approve of the Detroit reference :P That's one of my favourite games <3
The only problem I encountered was that the voice of the High-Spirited Girl was super duper quiet compared to all the other voices to the point that I couldn't really hear it >.< I turned the volume way up on my PC and then turned everything else down in the game cos I didn't wanna miss the voice acting :3
I don't wanna put the exact quote because I don't wanna spoil anything for anyone, but I have to say, I agree 100% with her on Marvel xD which I can feel my brother scowling at me for just for typing, hehe.
I am the father, apparently x3 But I don't feel like I've earned much or proved myself anywhere near enough T_T haha. Again, don't wanna spoil anything, but I approve of MC's response to being told their result :P
Overall, I thought it was a really nifty concept :3 It's not like any other game I've ever played, the story is interesting with plenty of humourous moments that put a smile on my face, the art is really cool, I actually liked the minigame, which is rare for me xD And I'm always a happy bunny when I hear that things are voiced cos I love VA <3 Narrator probably made me laugh the most with all the deadpan stuff, hehe. Really awesome job by the whole team! I'll have to try and see if I can get some of the other endings another time :3
ah sorry, the vending machine isn't giving away any lamb plushies... it likes them, so it wants to hoard all of them for itself!
anyway, the High-Spirited Girl has been fixed in the new patch, as well as some other sounds, thanks for pointing out! and now there's also a walkthrough if you'd ever want to get all other endings
thank you for playing and for such a long and thoughtful review!
Booo! Evil machine x3 And that's awesome you fixed that so fast! Even more awesome there's a walkthrough <3 Cheers for that! I'm a pretty lazy player, so it's a big help when I'm trying to find multiple endings in VNs :3
Hey is it possible for an achievement guide to be made?
hi! thanks for playing! i uploaded a walkthrough in the devlog, you can see how to get all the achivements there
